The DAK Group announced the merger of Interactive Systems and the OPUS Companies, two leading developers and marketers of computer software and services for pharmacies. The combined company, OPUS-ISM, will have operations in Hauppauge, NY and Little Falls, NJ.

Interactive Systems & Management Corp. (ISM) has provided computer services to small businesses since 1976 and to the pharmacy industry since 1978. Its InteRx ™ family of systems and services cover the needs of both retail and institutional users, including nursing homes, HMOs and hospitals. Products encompass the broad spectrum of pharmacy dispensing systems, benefit management and claims processing.

The OPUS Companies is comprised of OPUS-Core Corp. and OPUS Health LLC. OPUS-Core has provided computer systems and services for chain and independent pharmacies throughout the United States since 1982. Its products and services include its Pharmacy Management System, On-track ™ point-of-sale system, CorrectRx™ and PrescriptionCare. OPUS Health provides boutique applications for back-end medical processing. It specializes in prescription benefit network services, medical processing and data services such as Patient Assistance Programs, Patient Incentive Programs, Coupon/Voucher Fulfillment and DebitRX™.
