Mr. Simpson, a Managing Director, has more than twenty years of financial, managerial and consulting experience. At DAK, he has successfully managed large transactions in a wide range of industries, including IT services, semi-conductor manufacturing, telecommunications, specialty chemical, printing and toys. Mr. Simpson is a frequent author on subjects relating to middle market mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining DAK, Mr. Simpson held a series of senior financial and operating positions at Toy Biz, Inc., during which time the Company went public and completed two significant acquisitions. Mr. Simpson previously spent five years in the Reorganization Advisory Services Group of Touche Ross & Co., managing a series of prominent bankruptcy engagements, including Continental Airlines, Saxon Industries and Buttes Gas and Oil, as well as numerous out-of-court restructurings. He also was a principal in a $30 million construction and maintenance company.
Mr. Simpson received a BA from Tufts University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Pennsylvanias Wharton School.
